Praxis is an online postgraduate journal of philosophy edited by postgraduate students at the University of Manchester. Our aim is to offer an opportunity for research students, post-doctoral scholars and new academics to publish papers and reviews in an international peer-reviewed journal, providing special support for those in the beginning of their academic career.
We aim to help less experienced authors to improve the quality of their work to match the standard expected from a professional philosopher. In accordance with our mission, all authors of short-listed papers will receive extensive feedback from our referees, including guidance on how to meet the standards required for publication.
Every issue of Praxis includes a selection of papers, reviews and an interview. We also publish responses to previously published papers.
The first call for papers was sent in 2007. The first issue went online in April 2008, edited by Vasco Castela and Paula Satne Jones, with David Alexander Smith as Art Editor.
